How long have you been growing dahlias?

We’ve been growing dahlias for 15 years. We’re experienced in dividing tubers with viable eyes, overwinter storage, and monitoring plant health.

How do you manage virus and gall in your dahlias and peonies?

We use sanitation protocols between cutting and dividing. We inspect all plants throughout the season to manage virus and gall. We monitor at all growing stages and through storage. Plants that show signs of virus or gall are culled immediately.

Do you combine shipping?

Yes. Orders can be combined. We allow up to three combined orders. Select shipping on the first order then enter code COMBINE for subsequent orders.

We cannot combine shipping for different products in the same order such as combining dahlia tubers and dahlia cuttings, or peonies and plugs. Products ship at different times and combining products in the same shipment risks damage.

When do you ship?

Exact shipping dates are dependent on forecasted temperatures for your region.

  • Dahlia tubers ship in the spring after the risk of frost, this is typically by late April. Fall tubers ship in November, heat packs are available as an add-on for colder climates.
  • Dahlia cuttings ship when temperatures are warm enough typically in May. Fall cuttings are shipped in late September.
  • Peonies ship from October-November and from March-April in spring.
  • Corms ship in October for fall sales and early spring for winter pre-sales.
  • Plugs shipping may vary based on variety but is typically late March to April.

Do you ship internationally?

At this time we are only shipping within Canada.

US shipping may open for spring tuber sales, however, international shipping for dahlia cuttings and other products will not be available.

Outside North America: Please inquire for international trades or purchases as these may be accommodated on a case by case basis. Phytosanitary certificate cost will apply.

Do you pay royalties to dahlia hybridizers?

We have distributor agreements with certain hybridizers to support their breeding programs through royalty payments for sales of their named cultivars.

What is your return or refund policy?

Cancellations and order adjustments cannot be provided after placing an order. All sales are final.

  • Inspect all tubers upon arrival and contact us with any concerns within 5 days of receiving your order. All tubers sold have at least one viable eye.
  • Inspect all cuttings upon arrival and contact us within 3 days of receiving your order if you have any concerns.

We cannot provide refunds or credits for tubers or cuttings with poor performance as storage, environmental factors, growing conditions, and planting methods all influence dahlia growth or failure to grow.

What if I get a mislabelled variety?

We make every effort to ensure dahlias are correctly labelled. If you end up with a mislabeled variety, please contact us with photos by October 15th of the same growing season for a credit or refund.

Please note that this year refunds will not be provided for varieties that are sold as not verified, all non-verified stock comes from reputable sellers. If a not verified variety is a mislabel, please contact us with photos.

Why do you have limits on some varieties?

We place maximum order limits on certain cultivars that are rare and high demand to ensure more growers have an opportunity to purchase them. Order limits will be clearly stated. Orders that ignore the order limit will be cancelled.
